Having built a reputation as the best in technology, innovation, science, engineering etc over the past few years, the Asikafuo lads proved too strong for the other schools. The team put together a project on ‘Making recliner chairs from plastics sorted automatically from a waste segregator’, the team of judges had no option than to award Obuasi SHTS with the winning prize of thirty thousand Ghana Cedis. Inspired by Osikani Kwaku Nsiah, a.k.a C. K. Man, Asikafoɔ Alumni of Hse 2, 3 & 5 sponsored the renovation of all the restrooms in the building. Since 1965 when the school was built, the once most beautiful building on campus had not seen any major maintenance. As a consequence, the bathrooms had become unusable, and the building as a whole was an eyesore. The cost of the project was about 100,000 GHC. Dr. Eugene Atiemo was the project manager, supported by Bishop George Kingsley Amoako and Osikani Eric Koduah. Our sincere appreciation to all the Asikafoɔ who contributed to this project.
